Liz Lucas, a friend of Alex Aldana, who is among about 150 Dreamers and their families who are being refused entry to the United States at the Mexican border, reads a letter from Aldana to his mother explaining his decision to return to the United States, to a small group of his supporters and friends outside the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center offices in the Castro during a vigil Monday, March 24. Isa Noyola, left, also participated. Aldana, who is a member of the LGBT community, had returned to Mexico last November to visit his ailing grandmother. He also played a key role in organizing this round of the Bring Them Home campaign, whereby immigrant youth and families recently presented themselves at San Diego's Otay Mesa border crossing, seeking relief in order to be reunited with their loved ones.
