Seeking justice for Heklina

Nearly two years after the death in London of drag icon Heklina, protesters held a candlelight vigil March 31 to draw attention to the sluggish response of the London Metropolitan Police in investigating her death. As the Bay Area Reporter noted in an online story, the vigil took place in between two “angry” drag shows at The Stud and Oasis. London authorities revealed that Heklina, the drag persona of Stefan Grygelko who was found dead in a London flat April 3, 2023, had drugs in her system, but an official cause of death has not been released.
