Paul Needham died unexpectedly in his sleep on July 14. He was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and his body has been returned there for burial. In recent years, he lived in Redwood Shores but often visited Palm Springs. He is survived by two brothers and one sister and several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
He was a graduate of Purdue University and was senior director of product management for database security at Oracle. An international traveler who often spoke at high tech conferences, Paul was planning a pleasure trip to Italy. Long active in the leather, uniform, and boots community, Paul was organizing a uniform dinner at the time of his passing. He was an avid reader, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was very fond of classical music, especially Mozart. Contributions to the Midsummer Mozart Festival (www.midsummermozart.org) are a suitable memorial. Paul was an exceptionally kind person who will be missed by his many friends.
