Bob Owen, also known as "Bobby O," passed away July 10, 2013 of heart failure and pneumonia. He was 83.
A native of San Francisco, he lived briefly in Chicago. He lived at Muir Beach for 39 years with his partner, Russ, until Russ died in 1991. Shortly thereafter Bob met James and they spent a glorious 21 years in San Francisco with yearly holidays in Rio at Ipanema Beach.
Bob was a witty and generous entertainer, often inviting friends, and, as he called them, "orphans of the storm" to his homemade holiday dinners. He also made room with a studio for the odd "starving artist."
He is survived by family Don, Barbara, and Karen; friends Caroline, David, Terry and Joann, Deborah and Jason, and many more.
