Dominic Richard Maccario completed his life on earth at his home in Santa Rosa on June 10 at the age of 85. He is survived by his partner, Kevin F. Tripp, as well as six nieces and nephews and their spouses; 13 grand nieces and nephews; and 25 great-grand nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in Santa Rosa. He lived in San Francisco for most of his life but also in San Rafael and Guerneville. He attended Santa Rosa High School, Santa Rosa Junior College, and San Francisco State University. He served in the Army. He was a renowned opera singer, master chef, consummate host, mentor, and dedicated volunteer.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Church, 303 Stony Point Road, Santa Rosa.
