Friends have announced a memorial service for Joe Leary, a longtime member of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, will be held Saturday, January 12 at 3 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1661 15th Street (at Julian) in San Francisco.
Mr. Leary died November 15 at the age of 63.
In addition to singing in the Gay Men's Chorus and its Lollipop Guild, he helped with Singers of the Street, a choir for those affected by homelessness, though he himself was not homeless.
