Michael Scribner was an extraordinary son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend who spent his last 10 years in San Francisco. Michael was a passionate man, freely giving of himself to causes and to friends " he was always able to bring a smile. Along with his massage practice, Michael volunteered doing massage for the AIDS LifeCycle. He believed in justice and promoted the compassionate lifestyle he had discovered in veganism. It was Michael, a Harvey's regular, who helped add vegan items to its menu.

Michael suffered pre-surgery complications at St. Mary's on July 26. Friends filled the waiting room while covering his Facebook page with messages of love. Many close to him, including his mother, Terri Little Davis, and his stepfather, Dick Davis, were with him during his final days. Michael left us on July 29. He left a lasting impression on many friends across the states and the world.

There will be a vegan potluck to celebrate Michael in Dolores Park at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 11. Donations can be made to Farm Sanctuary and AIDS LifeCycle. More information: "Michael Scribner's Memorial Page" on Facebook or email [email protected].

Michael will never be forgotten " he will always be loved.
