Robert L. Lafalcia, a longtime resident of San Francisco, died peacefully on September 24, 2010. He was 62. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Bob, as he was better known by his many friends, came to San Francisco in the late 1970s and was actively involved in various Leather groups such as The Golden Bears and Mama's Family, where he was christened Naked Bare.

In his spare time, he loved to work on computer hardware and was basically the most happy-go-lucky fellow you could ever hope to meet. As his partner, Stanley, better described him, "If you ever needed help with anything, and I mean anything, Bob was always there for you, no questions asked."

After retiring from UCSF In April 2009, where he served as Data Services Supervisor for almost 10 years, he and Stanley Grant, his partner of 8 years, left San Francisco and migrated to Palm Springs, where he resided until his death.

He is survived by his brother, Bill Lafalcia, and one niece, Diana Cook, both of St. Petersburg, Florida; his loving partner, Stanley Grant; his devoted pooch, Poppy, a beautiful guardian angel by the name of Michael Nagle, who turned Bob on to root beer floats; Kane Price, Kene Rosa of Los Angeles, James Connelly of Bombay Beach, and Joey Calavetta, Steve Christensen, Brent Clemons, John Villegas,  Richard Neal,  Michael Rupenthal, Matthew Hawkins,  and Nathan Hall, all of San Francisco.

Funeral services are to be held in Brooklyn, New York on October 25, 2010.
