Was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 18, 1946 and was raised in Levittown, the fifth of six children born to William and Esther Millar.

On January 3, 1966 Glen was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps at the height of the war in Vietnam.  During his service, he earned the M-14 rifle Marksman Badge and the National Defense Service Medal. After his honorable discharge, Glen returned to Pennsylvania and attended Temple University where he received is B.A. in Business and Accounting. 

Glen moved to San Francisco in the late 1970s and was temporarily employed by Wells Fargo Bank. He was soon hired by King-American Ambulance Company and in 1981 began a long and successful tenure as the company's accountant and eventually as Controller.

A popular team player, coach, and manager in San Francisco's Gay Softball League for many years, he was loved and admired as a skilled and competitive player.

Glen is survived by his mother, Esther Millar, six siblings; and his beloved dog, Spike. Glen was diagnosed with cancer in May and died peacefully at his home in Daly City on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at approximately 7:00 p.m. Spike was by his side. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evergreen Mortuary located on Geary Boulevard at 10th Avenue in San Francisco. 668-0077.
