Frances passed on April 25th, 2010 while scuba diving in Monterey Bay after suffering cardiac arrest as she was resurfacing from her dive.

Frances was born in Michigan and has been a Bay Area resident since the mid 1970s. She was devoted to community service, and worked for the City and County of San Francisco for 17 years as a mechanical engineer, specializing in public water systems. She will be remembered for her zest for life, open heart and warrior spirit.

Frances is survived by her beloved wife Lisa Cohn, her two-year-old daughter Isabel Cohn, and a loving extended community of family members and friends scattered throughout the globe.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday June 5 at 2 p.m. at Saint Gregory-Nyssa Church, 500 De Haro Street in San Francisco.

In lieu of flowers, a fund honoring Frances' life has been established for her daughter Isabel Cohn. Contributions may be sent c/o L. Weindorf, 1386 Noe Street, S.F., CA 94131.
