June 1, 1953 - November 6, 2009
Jim passed away on November 6 after a long and valiant struggle with numerous health issues in Redwood City.
He grew up in Memphis, Tenn. and came to San Francisco in 1974 where he was employed at Pacific Gas and Electric headquarters in the accounting department and later in the treasury department.
Jim always appreciated the refinements of life. He was trained by chef Julia Child and could create some fabulous dinners and special menus. He and his partner traveled extensively to many foreign countries with Italy being his personal favorite destination. His quick wit and sense of humor, along with his generous nature, will always be remembered by his large and varied circle of friends and family.
He leaves his partner in life, Ensio Ostola, of Redwood City and a brother, Phil Gosney, of Castro Valley. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at his home in Redwood City on Saturday, November 21 at 1:00 pm.
You are in our hearts and we will never forget you, Jim.
