Larry left us peacefully in our arms on a cold Monday afternoon to join family and friends gone before him. He fought the good fight to the end when his tired heart could no longer go on.

He is survived by his loving partner of 35 years, Gary Hackett, and our family Jeff and Ducky Miranda. Larry and Gary met one night in August of 1974 at a bar in Hayward and were together from that point forward. Jeff and Ducky made his family whole and were much loved by their Papa.

Larry's career at Bank of America spanned 35 years. He was a proud and active member of our community, supporting the SF Imperial Council and hosting annual holiday gatherings, raising thousands of dollars for organizations he believed in.

Larry's cherished friends Empress 41 Galilea and Emperor 35 Michael Dumont along with his many other friends hold his memory dear.

Services were held on February 24 and 25, 2009. A celebration of life is planned to take place on April 18, 2009 at Stacks restaurant, 501 Hayes St., San Francisco, at 6 p.m., followed by a gathering at Marlena's, 488 Hayes St.
