July 1, 1936 July 24, 2008
With great sadness and fondness, friends of Margaret Ann "Peggy" Forster honor her death on July 24th 2008 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Peggy was born on July 1, 1936 and lived in Wisconsin, graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1959. She moved to San Francisco and became a successful business person with various enterprises in the City with close and trusted friends. Charlotte Coleman, MaryEllen Cunha, and Walter Leiss remember her with great fondness having known her for well over 40 years. Most importantly, her loving partner of 30 years, Lynne Morrison will miss her dearly and said, "Thank you Bunky, for the best thirty years anyone ever had."
The thirty years together were enjoyed in both San Francisco and Palm Springs. Peggy was an avid golfer, loved to travel with friends, and was a knowledgeable fan of all college and pro sports.
Peggy was loyal and generous to all her friends and being beyond fun and dependable. Peggy demonstrated her loyalty in business by doing the right thing for her employees and partners in business.
A party for Peggy was held in her honor on Saturday, August 2nd, at the Twin Peaks Tavern, the bar that Peggy and MaryEllen Cunha founded in 1972. The event was co-hosted by MaryEllen and the current owners and longtime friends, George and Fred, Jeff and Day.
Peggy will be missed and remembered. Donations can be made in her honor to a charity or organization of choice.
