James Albert "Skip" Norfolk

June 1, 1950 – October 29, 2007

, formerly of San Francisco, was an architect who had lived in San Francisco. Since moving here from Virginia in 1973, immediately after graduation he worked for several firms in the Bay Area. He also taught and wrote articles for design magazines. He was also a 1968 graduate, with honors, of W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Norfolk. He is survived by his parents, James W. Norfolk and Evelyn M. Norfolk of Strasburg, VA; his sister, Melanie Daly of Sterling, VA; one uncle, one aunt, numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

A memorial service was held Nov. 21 at Bruen Chapel United Methodist Church in Fairfax, VA, and interment followed in Fairfax Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Bruen Chapel or the Front Royal (VA) United Methodist Church, 1 West Street, Front Royal, VA 22620.
