Robert John Ein Jr. died March 30, 2024 from cancer. He was 68.
Robert grew up in the New York area. Once he moved to the Bay Area, he attended City College of San Francisco and designed video games. Robert's passion was hanging with the Rainbows/Satyrs Motorcycle Club, and he was a club member for many years.
He is survived by Daniel, his partner of several years; his mother; and his sister Elizabeth, of Rye, New York.
Images of Robert can be seen around the city, including in a poster in the cage at the Hole in the Wall, and in the motorcycle exhibit at the GLBT Historical Society Museum in the Castro.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at the Hole in the Wall Saloon, 1369 Folsom Street in San Francisco, Saturday, June 1, at 4 p.m.
Robert was a gentle soul, with a big heart.
