October 25, 1949 - April 25, 2008
Those who remember John from happier times will recall his skill on keyboards and as a singer, as well as his brilliance, wit, and flair for flashy jewelry. He was a good friend to many and years ago volunteered at Maitri Hospice.
Sadly, John's last years were a struggle with substance abuse and a host of psychological and physical problems. During the past few years he was in and out of the veterans hospital at Fort Miley, where on April 25, 2008, he died of a massive heart attack.
Rest in peace John. You are remembered.
