Joris Frank Marin passed away June 29, 2007, at the Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco.
Joris was born in Denver, Colorado and never married. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in California. He then Joined the US Navy and served on the USS Ault DD798 in the Pacific area during WWII after which he attended Occidental College in Eagle Rock, CA.
Joris worked for The Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co. in North Hollywood before transferring to San Francisco from which he retired.
Joris F. Martin was preceded in death by his parents Frank Martin and Rose Elmine (Rasmussen) Martin and brothers Algy Martin , Kaye Martin.
Survivors include his sister Delois Rose (Martin) Elser and her husband Rudolph Roy Elser of Grand Junction, Colorado.
His remains were interred at the Sacramento Valley VA National
Cemetery in Dixion, CA.
