Dan Prezioso died in the early hours of 2007 after a long travail with AIDS-related complications.  He was his forceful, loving self throughout.

Dan was the drum major in high school in Niles, Ohio, received degrees from Ohio State and the University of Michigan; and on a lark went to New York City and successfully auditioned for the original cast of Bob FosseÕs Pippin, wherein he danced with Ben Vereen and later Liza Minnelli. He left show biz for San Francisco where he loved living for the next 30 years.  Dan worked in finance and management at Bank of America and then at Charles Schwab.

Dan was an ardent Democrat, an indomitable advocate at Kaiser Permanente for expanded HIV care, and a pillar for over 25 years of the Gay MenÕs Spiritual Retreat. His elegant, cozy home was where his friends gathered.  He wanted his family and his friends to know each other, and there was great comfort in those bonds at the memorial gathering his parents Elvira and Joe Prezioso hosted at DanÕs home on Jan. 6, which ended, after much laughter, tears and appreciation, with our singing "Danny Boy" and "Our Love is Here to Stay."
