Wess, who only went by his first name, died of massive heart failure at home Sept. 30. was born in Stanton, Virginia and arrived in San Francisco upon completion of his military service he worked many jobs before he found his real love, cutting hair. He worked for a time in Berkeley before finding himself in San Francisco working at Viking Hair Styling. He loved his work and was part of the Viking family for 18 years. Over those years, he made many friends and will be missed by all. is survived by his family in Virginia, his son, Toby, and his family at the Viking. A celebration of life will be held at Marlena's, 488 Hayes St., Nov. 5 from noon to 3 p.m.
