1959 — 2006
Michael died of heart failure in July after a courageous struggle with AIDS. He is survived by his sister Jane McCullough and brother Pershing Sullivan and other family and many, many friends. Michael graduated from the University of Mississippi, and was an Eagle Scout. He moved to San Francisco in the fabulous '90s where he captured the community with his big blue eyes and ever-present sweet smile. His ashes will be spread at Land's End, where his loverÕs (Derek Schull) ashes were spread before him. Michael was a passionate advocate of medical marijuana.
