died at age 52 from a heart attack on Saturday, July 28, near Alton, Illinois. His unexpected death was a shock to his loved ones, since he had successfully battled HIV for many years and had been in good health and great spirits.

After living in San Francisco for 23 years, Brady had moved to Alton in 2003 to be near his parents and family. His kindness, courage, and wit touched many of us. He was a founder of the Different Spokes/SF bicycle club and the Log Cabin Republicans/Alton Chapter. He managed and edited ASU Travel Guides in San Francisco, which opened the door to his many travels to Europe and Russia.

Brady was an artist, a journalist, a photographer, an entrepreneur; a person who was politically astute, culturally aware and unique and diverse in the way he shared his talents. Like a rainbow he would draw your unique color from you, and meet you and accept you right where you were in life. He will be missed.

Brady is survived by his parents, Calvin and Virginia; sisters Barbara and Paulette; nephews David and Shaun; and many loving friends. For memorial service and donation info, contact [email protected].
