Congressmember Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) returned to the National AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park June 17 to help pull weeds during a monthly work day at the site. Pelosi has participated in many grove workdays over the years. The former House speaker was accompanied by her daughter, Christine Pelosi (wearing hat). Nancy Pelosi has still not said whether she will seek reelection next year. If she chooses to retire, Christine Pelosi has been frequently mentioned as a candidate, while gay state Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) earlier this year formed an exploratory committee to raise funds for a campaign if Nancy Pelosi opts not to seek reelection.
