Peter passed away peacefully at home after a short illness. A longtime resident of San Francisco, Peter was born in what was once East Prussia and is now Poland. He grew up in northern Germany after World War II and came out as a proud gay man early in his life. He immigrated to the U.S. in the 1970s, coming to San Francisco via New York City. He was predeceased by the love of his life, John Stuart Munn, and by many friends during the AIDS crisis. Peter loved the arts and architecture and San Francisco. His ashes will be scattered at sea, and he requested that no memorial service be held. Rest in peace.
