Patrick Carney, left, was congratulated by San Francisco Mayor London Breed July 20, following his swearing in to a seat on the city's arts commission. Carney is the co-founder of the pink triangle, which is installed atop Twin Peaks for Pride Month. Carney was named to the seat designated for an architect on the panel, which reviews and approves the design of all public structures and any private structures that extend on city property, according to a news release from the mayor's office. Carney previously served on the City Hall Preservation Commission. Carney holds a Master of Architecture Degree from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Cal Poly.
