"Take off your shirt!" If you're up for some fun fundraising, this year's Bare Chest Calendar, which raises funds for local charities, is looking for new contestants.

Since 1985, The Bare Chest Calendar has raised over $3,000,000 for its beneficiaries. The grass roots organization has deep ties to the community and our local bar scene. Who hasn't enjoyed getting an inseam tape measure of prize tickets, or enjoyed a shirt-doffing contest over the years?

Events are returning to the bars. On February 17, the Bare Chest Calendar held its third preliminary competition for the 2023 calendar at The Powerhouse bar.

During the usual irreverent festivities, the 2022 team was brought onstage in a presentation of last year's funds raised, a whopping $140,710. Positive Resource Center is the current beneficiary.

The Calendar is still looking for a few good men to represent 2023. If you think you have what it takes, sign up on the organization's website 'I'm Next' page.

Preliminaries run though the end of March at the Powerhouse with the Finals Contest to be held May 7 at DNA Lounge (375 11th St.).
