We're drawn to queer comics, and the upcoming inaugural Pride In Panels: SF Queer Comics Festival will certainly draw plenty of artists and fans. The organizers are actively seeking participants at the free event.

Scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the main branch of the San Francisco Public Library at 100 Larkin Street, from 12om to 5pm, Pride In Panels is for artists and comics fans alike.

Pride in Panels will consist of an exhibition hall with more than 100 LGBTQIA comics creators selling and signing their work, an auditorium for a series of wide-ranging panels, an area for makers workshops, and common spaces to gather and connect.

The events include a February 17 screening of the award-winning film "No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics," along with a panel afterward, and a Queer Comics Reading at the Silver Sprocket bookstore on Friday, February 16.

Applications for exhibitors are being accepted until Friday December 15.
