The Gay Asian Pacific Alliance Foundation's annual costume, drag and talent gala, Runway, took on a "Quest for the Pearl" pirate theme for its thirtieth edition, held August 25 at The Herbst Theater on 401 Van Ness Ave. Contestants performed a creative array of pirate-themed song and dance numbers.
The newly crowned Mister and Miss GAPA 31 are Mr. Christo Roma and Miss Shu Mai. Previously crowned Mr. and Miss GAPAs, and Imperial and Ducal court notables enjoyed the festivities. Proceeds from Runway will benefit GAPA Foundation's Student Scholarship and Community Grants Programs. https://gapafoundation.org/
