In April 2011, the Bay Area Reporter celebrated its 40th anniversary with a mini-exhibit of vintage front pages, curated by photographer Rick Gerharter.
The exhibit premiered at the new GLBT History Museum in the Castro district, followed by a party across the street at the new Toad Hall.
The April 7 issue also kicked off our first Best of the Gays Readers Choice Awards.
