Shortly after hearing news that the State of Nevada is considering legislation that would require porn producers to use condoms for fucking (anal or otherwise) and even for oral sex, I read a stunner headline. "Undectable Guys Do Not Transmit HIV to Negative Sex Partners."

A two-year study, presented at the Conferences on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections in mid-January "gives scientific credence to what many have long suspected: HIV positive guys who are on treatment and have an undetectable viral load are not giving HIV to their partners. The study strengthens the belief that 'treatment as prevention' is one of the most effective ways to stop new infections."

When asked what the study tells us about the chance of someone with an undetectable viral load  transmitting HIV, presenter Alison Rodger said: "Our best estimate is it's zero."

How this apparently good news might affect the porn industry, the state of Nevada and the personal sex lives of many gay men sure is confounding and confusing. All I can say is, stay tuned. And remember, that HIV or no HIV, condoms protect against a host of STDs.

Condoms may be making a questionable exit, but hugely popular porn star Johnny Rapid made one a couple weeks ago that was instantaneous, when he was jailed and charged with battery for allegedly choking, pushing and hitting his girlfriend last year.

His interview a year ago in the documentary series, I'm a Porn Star , more than foreshadowed this event.

"I'm really dominant over females," he said, with a disarming smile. "I fuck the shit out of them, dominate them. I choke them...I do my porn, and then I go home to my girlfriend. I have sex with her until she bleeds."

Born Hylan Anthony Taylor, the 23-year-old had filmed 11 scenes for two lesser streaming sites before filming (at last count) 114 for Men.com .

Little 5'6" bunny Johnny, who had an ever-hard, upward curving cock and nearly pre-pubescent face, was one of those heterosexuals who loved, just looooved to get fucked. He liked cocksucking a lot too. But he was spurred by the need to support his wife and two kids.

Johnny recently offered Justin Bieber $2 million to appear in a gay porn scene. Now Johnny may be needing that amount to post his own bail. Although his Twitter account and his Facebook page are still up, his personal website is closed down, just like his porn career.

Writer Joe Morgan, at Gay Star News, posed a pertinent question: "Why does this have any relevance to the LGBT community?" Ponder that, my friends.

Greg Plitt was neither gay nor a porn star. Yet his beauty, outspoken nature, and the apparent size of his cock brought him many gay fans. I'm sad to relate that he was killed when he was hit by a Metrolink commuter train in Los Angeles on January 17. He'd previously shot workout videos on these tracks, but either the sound of the approaching train was masked by the ear pods he was wearing, or he mistakenly believed the train was on a nearby, parallel track.

As Greg Plitt, the strikingly blue-eyed hunk had developed a legion of gay fans by posing for many sexually provocative, though clothed, photographs, which usually capitalized on a massively bulging basket. He liked to show it off. And he offered a certain amount of cock tease by being not entirely clear which muscle he was talking about in a fitness video that went viral in gay circles.

"Oh by the way. Size fucking matters. In everything. Don't believe the hype, size fucking matters. Size doesn't matter to people that don't have any size, that's why they like 'Oh, size doesn't matter.' Size, girth, thickness, everything. It's a game of inches in life. Add up all those inches...victory, motherfucker!"

As George Plitt, he'd graduated from West Point and served five years in the Army before becoming a personal trainer. He subsequently appeared on the covers of some 200 fitness magazines and 25 romance novels. He was the face of Thierry Mugler's Angel Men and Ice Men fragrances, and appeared on reality television shows and a soap opera, and as a stunt man and actor in films. He had roles alongside Robert DeNiro in The Good Shepherd , and Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation, and was oogled by gay men when he performed as a body double of Dr. Manhattan in The Watchmen.

I'll remember Greg Plitt, for his smile, his eyes, his muscles and his masculinity. And, oh, yeah"size, girth, and thickness, for sure.

By the way, I'm pretty knocked out that the B.A.R. now has a woman sex columnist. Although I've been accused of being that, Krissy Eliot is the true and actual first. A former Bay Guardian writer, she's written a fine article about the history of sex writing in San Francisco for a commemorative issue of the SFBG that's an insert in the current San Francisco Public Press , which is available online and in a bunch of local outlets. Google it now, and you can read Krissy quoting me (you didn't think this plug for Krissy wasn't going to be at least a little self-serving, now, didja?).

Finally, in my review of mr Pam's Dirty Rascals, I noted the strange absence of Menu functions. mr. Pam informs me that in an effort to get screeners to reviewers in a timely manner, they were burned without the Menu. The commercially marketed DVD will have Menus, BTS, and trailers, as expected.
