American ugly
Thank God for the verdict in Kevin Spacey's favor on October 20. Hopefully, this will give the cancel culture lowlifes pause when they're thinking of accusing someone of a crime. (A civil jury in New York City found Spacey, then 26, not liable for battery on allegations he briefly laid on top of actor Anthony Rapp, then 14, in a bed at a party in 1986.)
Even if every word of Rapp's accusation is factual, Spacey did nothing that made him deserving of being sued or brought to trial. And this was in the 1980s.
As someone who's been gay since the word meant good-natured, I feel like this sort of thing — petty, vindictive jealousy — makes us look bad. There are real crimes being committed against LGBTQ people all the time that need to be addressed.
How did this generation of gay men get so damn sensitive that they can't even think straight? It is embarrassing.
