Cornelius Washington: You are relatively new in porn. How many scenes have you done and how did you get started?
JJ Knight: I have done at least 12 scenes over the past four months since starting in the industry. I actually started porn with one of my still good friends, Jack Hunter, when we were dating and we were actually working for Jason Sparks at the time and on tour with him. Jack got reached out to by our current agents at Pure Casting and he asked me if I wanted to give it a try. I said sure, why not!
How was your first scene? Did it meet your expectations and/or fantasies?
Wow; my first scene was a stressful experience! I grew up watching gay porn and was always like, 'This looks so easy and like so much fun.' But then you get on set and it's an actual job and we have to perform as such. I still have a blast on each set, but my first time I had hard-on issues and I couldn't get off like I wanted. So it just made my first experience memorable and horrific.
So far, what do you see that is being done right and what is being done wrong in the world of porn?
In my personal opinion I think that porn has come a long way over the past few years from the outside looking in. I feel like things are getting better in terms of the talent. From what other porn stars tell me, there were some divas that did it in the past that made the overall experience unbearable. I haven't personally been in the industry long enough to judge what is being done wrong. Ask me in a couple years and I might have a better answer for ya!
In the 21st century, what do you think will be the effects of porn on the internet, as far as dating, culture, job opportunities, and sexual orientation?
Porn is porn and everyone has their own opinions of the industry and the effects on their culture. You will always find hypocrites all over the world that say bad things about porn but then go home and watch it. My personal experience with dating is, it's hard to date someone in porn and its hard to date someone outside of porn. The reason for that is, porn stars are always going to be in competition with each other no matter what, so dating another is very hard.
And dating someone outside of the porn industry is hard because it's very hard to find a guy that is secure enough with himself to not be jealous. So if any guys out there think they can handle being in my life, please find me! (laughs)
Sexual orientation is a huge topic over the past year. Since marriage equality became legal around the united states, it's opened the door to so many closeted gays that are too afraid to come out be more open with themselves. And some scenes in porn �"although there is sex involved�" have a good storyline behind it that can help young guys be more open with themselves and maybe give them more confidence in themselves.
You have entered the porn industry at a very interesting time. What do you think about the recent Rentboy scandal? What do you think the effects this will have on escorting?
I was actually shooting a scene with Jason Sparks the day the Rentboy site got shut down. I personally didn't read too much into the whole scenario, so I don't have too much of an opinion on this topic. But I will say that things like escorting are topics that have to get treaded lightly on and anyone who partakes in it just has to be careful.
A lot of porn stars list travel as one of biggest perks of the industry. What city are you lusting to visit and/or perform in?
It's crazy; my entire life has been travel, travel, travel. I lived in China for two years and visited Paris and Bali and Amsterdam. But the one city I have never been to and have always wanted to visit is New York City. So, all producers: hint hint!
Travel is a huge plus in this industry, but being the outgoing person that I am �"just meeting a lot of cool people and building relationships�" is my favorite part about being in this industry.
What landmark do you want to see here in San Francisco?
I have been to San Francisco twice and got to see the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge, but haven't been to actually see them. But I have always wanted to go to Alcatraz Island and take that tour. Every time I cross the bridges I look over at the island and am just in awe because I want to go so bad.
What type of porn do you want to rock? The scenes are perfectly constructed and fantasy-based or the more down-to-earth reality-based sex? What do you see are the positive and negative aspects of both?
The type of porn I want to do is anything my fans want to see. I am a completely adventurous person and am pretty open to most things. Send me some ideas. I can tell my agents what you want to see. I feel like fantasy-based porn can be kind of a let-down, because you build something up in your mind for so long. For it to not be what you expected... But if it is what you expected or better, then it's that much more amazing. More reality-based porn is very "vanilla," as I would describe it, and it can be very boring to most people, which is why I like the porn that catches peoples' attention.
Have you ever danced completely naked before? Was it sensual for you? Did you enjoy it?
I have danced before, but I have never danced completely naked. So this is going to be a first experience for me. But I'm very excited that my stage partner is Colton Grey. He is so sexy and I know we will put on a good show for you guys to see.
What is your favorite type of music to have sex to?
Depends on the type of sex I'm having. If it's intense hardcore sex, then typically some fun rap would be great. But if it's sensual passionate boyfriend sex, then I like softer music like SoMo's "Ride," one of my favorite songs to have sex to.
Are you aware of the rich history the Nob Hill Theatre? It's a porn performer's dream. What have you heard about it?
I have a few porn friends that have told me that it is a 'once in a lifetime' experience. I don't know much other than I get to have some amazing sex with a gorgeous guy on stage in front of a lot of people. What could be better than that?
How important do you the Nob Hill Theatre is in the age of the internet? Do you think venues that showcase live sex will always be relevant?
I think any place that can get porn stars to appear to perform shows like this is a amazing idea. Porn is great, but after a while it's like you want to feel like you are part of the scenario. Putting yourself in the same room during the sex makes the experience that much more enriching.
Erotica porn star Casey Williams saw the posters of you and Colton Grey in the theatre foyer and he thinks you two are very attractive �" and he particularly wants to know how you get those wonderful peaks on your biceps?
Hahaha! Aw, thank you Casey. I'm sure that Colton works out just as much as me and he might have different methods than I do. But for me, I work out my biceps twice a week. When I work them out, I really squeeze my bicep while doing curls to make sure that peak gets bigger and bigger.

In my personal life, I'm as vanilla as you can get. I love sensual sex that both partners enjoy. The porn side of me really loves being vocal and learning how to practice my dialogue to make sure the viewers enjoy it. I'm trying to learn how to be more vocal to really give the viewers a show.
Describe your dream scene partner for your next film.
My dream scene partner? That's a tough question because I have worked with so many great guys over the past few months. But there is one guy that I really want to shoot a scene with and he is an exclusive with Nextdoor studios: Markie More. That boy is so sexy and nothing would make me more happy than to shoot a hot steamy hot sex scene with him.
How do you think you will feel when you see your name on the marquee of The Nob Hill Theater?
I honestly did not even realize that Nob Hill Theatre had a marquee, but wow! That is insanely exciting. I am definitely going to be getting a selfie with that. Having this experience is once in a lifetime. I'm thankful for Nob Hill for giving me the opportunity.
How do you think you will feel when you see yourself in your movies on a big screen?
Haha! That is one thing I am still learning how to deal with, watching myself on camera. Acting in the scenes is the easy part. Watching them afterwards and being your own worst critic is intensely difficult. I'm excited to be going to have this experience and really hope the fans enjoy the show!
