Tenderloin Tessie will serve its free Christmas dinner Saturday, December 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at First Unitarian Church, 1187 Franklin Street in San Francisco.

Tenderloin Tessie board President Michael Gagne said that all are welcome and that there will be indoor and outside dining areas. He said that he's expecting to get some canopies for outside because of possible inclement weather.

All attendees should bring their ID and proof of COVID vaccination if possible, he added.

Gagne also said that volunteer shifts are available on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon; noon to 4 p.m.; and 3 to 6 p.m. All volunteers must show proof of vaccination.

Volunteers are also needed Friday, December 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, December 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. These are for truck workers and locker organization and inventory, respectively.

To volunteer call Gagne at (415) 584-3252 (landline — no text).
