April Asbury, age 60, was released from the physical realm Friday, August 6, 2021. She was born November 20, 1960, in Weaverville to Bill and Janet Asbury. She had an uncanny ability to reach people's hearts in a deep and meaningful way. She was very tender with a hidden heart of gold. However, life wasn't easy for her. She is survived by her four siblings: Sarah, Jeff, Joe, and Alex; niece Abigail and nephews Felix, Blake, and Blair; as well as her longtime companion, Terry Jones. April and Jones spent nearly two decades together after meeting in 1988 at Female Trouble in San Francisco. April had a way about her, so special, that led most everyone she met including former lovers, friends, and co-workers to remain steadfast and committed to her always.
