Van Gorder recognized

Former Project Inform executive director Dana Van Gorder, center, was recognized for his decade of service to the HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C nonprofit at a reception at Monroe Jazz Club September 12. Van Gorder was presented with a proclamation from gay state Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), left. Gay District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, right, also gave Van Gorder a commendation from the Board of Supervisors. Van Gorder stepped down in June.
