New Honor Walk plaques installed

by BAR staff

The first eight of the second class of 24 Rainbow Honor Walk inductees were unveiled in the Castro during a reception Wednesday, November 15. One of those plaques honors We'wha, a Zuni Native American two-spirit mixed gender tribal leader. Celebrating We'wha's inclusion in the Honor Walk were, from left, Roger Kuhn, Randy Burns, Sheridan Alexis, Miko Thomas, and Jim Eagle. Project organizers hope to add the remaining 16 plaques by next June. The plaques of those added are on the north and south sides of Market Street.
