1966-2006

Craig Hamrick, a proud gay man loved by many, died in New York City on Sunday 9/24/06. He had suffered from colon cancer for 4 years and was 39 years old.

Craig moved to New York City in the early 1990s from Coffeyville Kansas, where he grew up. He went to the Big Apple specifically to live an openly gay life.

Craig soon befriended the late, Emmy nominated actor Louis Edmonds (Dark Shadows, All My Children) who encouraged Craig's artistic pursuits. Craig became a highly respected book editor, and was also a photographer. He was the on-set photographer for a number of queer independent films. His exquisite male nude photos can be seen at www.CraigHamrick.com

The prolific, multi-talented Craig published several books, information on them can also be found at his website.

Craig also ran DarkShadowsOnline.com, a website that documented the history of his favorite TV show, Dark Shadows . He ran additional sites for several of the show's cast members.

Craig was a kind, loving soul who always tried to help others.

He leaves behind his family in Kansas, friends John and Peter, Janet, and Nancy, and his beloved husband, Joe Salvatore.

Craig passed on the birthday of his late friend Louis Edmonds, who is no doubt embracing him

Craig Hamrick will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
