Former San Francisco supervisor Carol Ruth Silver, right, who was a colleague of gay supervisor Harvey Milk, joined others in leaving candles at the site of Milk's former camera store in the Castro November 27, on the 43rd anniversary of the assassinations of Milk and Mayor George Moscone. The Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club organized the vigil, which began at Harvey Milk Plaza.
