A string of violent robberies extending from Noe Valley into the Mission Wednesday, February 23, has led to the arrests of three suspects. San Francisco police arrested two juveniles and a man late the same evening after receiving multiple reports of alleged violent robberies beginning in Noe Valley, and then up and down Mission Street.
"Officers performed a traffic stop and detained the occupants without incident," a police report issued February 24 stated. "During the course of the investigation, Mission patrol officers identified the suspects and developed probable cause that connected the suspects to the three ... robberies. The suspects were placed under arrest on scene."
The suspects included two San Francisco juveniles, aged 14 and 15, and a 20-year-old Richmond man. The teens were booked at Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of felony robbery and felony conspiracy. The man, David Hall, was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of felony robbery, felony conspiracy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to police.
The alleged robberies began on the 200 block of Vicksburg Street where police responded to a robbery by two men who, after exiting a black SUV, approached their victim and, after rummaging through the victim's pockets, fled the scene in their car, police said.
Another person was later allegedly attacked, this time at 26th and Church streets. The victim, a 36-year-old man, was approached by two males who "forcefully pushed the victim to the ground, punched the victim multiple times, and then took the victim's property," the police report read. The suspects fled in a black SUV. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Another alleged robbery, on the 4200 block of Mission, may have involved a gun. "The suspects exited a black SUV, chased the victim, and threatened to use a gun. The suspects stole the victim's property and fled in the black SUV," according to the police report.
A short time later, SFPD spotted the vehicle at Mission and 25th streets, where they stopped the car and, after linking the alleged suspects to the three attacks, arrested them without incident.
