Jazzie's Place opens

Jazzie's Place, San Francisco's homeless shelter dedicated for LGBT adults, opened Wednesday, June 17. Some of the people involved in the project squeezed together to cut the ribbon on the 24-bed shelter, including Supervisor David Campos, left, Laura Guzman from the Mission Neighborhood Resource Center, homeless czar Bevan Dufty, Brian Basinger from AIDS Housing Alliance/San Francisco, Trent Rhorer from the city's Human Services Agency, Wendy Philips from Dolores Street Community Services, and Mayor Ed Lee.
