Here come the divas

Miss July BeBe Sweetbriar, center, was crowned Desperate Diva 2008 at the Grand Drag Pageant Saturday, September 29 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. The new titleholder is flanked by the other finalists, Miss February Mercedez Munro and Miss September Tita Aida. Each contestant was judged on her performance and evening wear, with the   finalists having to answer a question. This second annual pageant was a fundraiser for the AIDS Housing Alliance. The alliance's 2008 Desperate Divas calendar is now on sale.
