Isabella Oliveros, left, Carly Kohler, and Jasmine Harris were just a few of the estimated 5,000 people who took part in the Oakland Women's March Saturday, January 18, at Frank Ogawa Plaza. Some brought placards that noted the number of missing black girls around the country while others carried rainbow flags and supported LGBTQ rights. Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) spoke at the march, which also addressed the importance of people participating in the upcoming 2020 census.
