South Bay holds TDOR ceremony

Aejaie Franciscus lit 25 candles on the podium in remembrance of trans individuals who died in the U.S. last year at the November 20 Transgender Day of Remembrance observance in San Jose. The Santa Clara Office of LGBTQ Affairs joined with other groups and held the event at Westminster Presbyterian Church. During the calling of names, Franciscus rang a brass bell for each name as participants read the names at the podium. A candle was blown out for each name and a single red rose placed in a vase.
