Amazon.com made a record $1.6 billion in sales last year, and a made few billion more this year, as online shopping became even more popular with COVID-19 lockdowns limiting in-store shopping. All this has devastated independent retailers.

So, in the much-needed spirit of buying local instead, check out and fill your cart with Glitter Worthy's fun array of gifts created with local drag performers, illustrators and photographers.

Created by nightlife photographer Chris Knight and his partner Celso Dulay, cofounders of Glitter Bomb TV. Their motto is 'Shop Love, Shop Small.'

"Our community has a long history of overcoming hardships and coming together to support each other," said Celso Dulay, co-founder of the Glitter Worthy Store. "During the AIDS crisis, the last major pandemic to impact us in the U.S., San Francisco led the way with the formation of organizations such as the Imperial Council of San Francisco and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence that have become two of the world's largest LGBTQ+ fundraising operations. It's in our DNA to do this."

Choose from prints by photographer and gay porn queen mrPam, Scott DeVine, the prolific Gooch, and photographer Knight's 'SF Divas' series featuring Juanita MORE!, BeBe Sweetbriar, Mutha Chucka and other talents.

Illustrations and art works by Aquaboogie, Whore MORE! (aka Dulay), as well as festive T-shirts, facemasks, throw pillows, handbags, coffee mugs, pouches and aprons are also available with images of Grace Jones, David Bowie and Keith Haring.

"During December, we will continue to expand the San Francisco drag queens we are celebrating, while raising much-needed income for them while our queer nightlife remains shut down for the foreseeable future," said Knight in a press statement.

Starting Dec. 10, a new array of glamorous print photos by prolific nightlife and portrait photographer Gooch will be available.

After working in London for two decades, Gooch moved to San Francisco and started his own business. Over the past ten years, he's shot the disenfranchised sub-cultures of our time, including queer nightlife and drag performers.

Prior to the 2020 lockdown, Gooch was the resident photographer at many weekly and monthly club nights and he's the official photographer for Big Top Sundays at Beaux, Folsom Street Events, Go Bang!, the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and San Francisco Gay Pride. He also works regularly with social justice campaigns including Black Lives Matter, Black Trans Lives Matter and the Harvey Milk Foundation.
