Local pros, heels and faces filled the ring with wacky athleticism when Wrestling For Charity presented SF Slam, the fourth fundraiser with MC and reigning Empress Pollo Del Mar. The kid-friendly action included hunks and camp creatures Chicago Flame, Lisa Lace, Lazarus and the Berkeley Brawler, among other wrestlers.

Packed with colorful characters, crazy antics and led by the world's most wrestling-obsessed drag personality, Wrestling for Charity is arguably today's most queer-friendly sports entertainment promotion. The thrilling WFC mat action, over-the-top stories and all-inclusive, interactive audience experience return to San Francisco's El Toro Nightclub July 26.

"Growing up, it was difficult to imagine professional wrestling embracing me as a queer man," said Pollo Del Mar, known to the local queer community as a past winner of the Trannyshack Star Search Competition, Miss Trannyshack Pageant, Grand Duchess 37 and the Imperial Council of San Francisco's reigning Empress.

"It is a dream come true to create this inclusive, affirming opportunity for LGBTQ wrestling fans - and those curious about our events," continued Del Mar, who both in story and reality oversees the promotion's San Francisco operations. "While pro wrestling has earned a stereotype for being homophobic and exclusionary, WFC not only allows but encourages fans to be exactly who they are."

Look for the next event at El Toro (2470 San Bruno Ave.) on July 26 in SF's Portola neighborhood.

Stars like "The Voice" Donovan Troi, "The Sexy Swinger" Jheri Gigalo, "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury, The Berkeley Brawler, the crazy crustacean Rock Lobster, "Lovely" Lisa Lace and more will be on-hand.

Doors open at 7pm; bell time is 8pm. All ages are welcome. Admission is $20.
