The makers of local beer Anchor Steam are stepping up their support of San Francisco's LGBT Center, with a portion of sales through June going to the Center.
Did you know that Anchor Brewing Company has been making beer since 1896? They probably quenched the thirsts of turn-of-the-century sailors and their tricks at the notorious Embarcadero taverns long before Stonewall.
Anyway, whether that's true or not, you can enjoy the support of an LGBT-supportive brand that's been enjoyed at gay bars all over. Participating bars include Twin Peaks Tavern, Moby Dick, Jolene's and other venues. Look for the rainbow Anchor Steam tap handles, coasters and posters around the Bay Area.
