Tens of thousands of people gathered in San Francisco Saturday, March 24, to take part in the national "March for Our Lives." Organized by students across the country in the wake of the Valentine's Day shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, large crowds were reported in Washington, D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. Speakers called for tougher gun control laws and told lawmakers they have had it with gun violence. At some marches, young people registered to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
