Warren campaign opens Oakland office

Nicole DeMont, right, California state director for Democratic presidential candidate Senator Elizabeth Warren (Massachusetts), spoke to supporters at the opening of the campaign's Oakland office Sunday, November 10. Joining DeMont were lesbian Oakland City Council President Rebecca Kaplan, second from left, who endorsed Warren's bid last week, and organizer Tracey Corder, a steering committee for Black Womxn For, an organizing collective of leaders, activists, artists, writers, and political strategists from across the country in the fight for black liberation. The office, which will hold trainings for volunteers and other campaign activities, is located at 900 Alice Street, Suite 200.
