The Oakland Unified School District and its Gender and Sexuality Alliance were one of many contingents in the sixth annual Oakland Pride parade Sunday, September 8. Other groups included Our Family Coalition, the popular Legacies of the Pacific Polynesian dancers, and more. Oakland Pride also celebrated its 10th annual festival, which included entertainment and family-friendly offerings. Thousands of people enjoyed the afternoon festivities.
