A group of San Francisco gay and lesbian leaders gathered at Harvey Milk Plaza Monday, June 4, to discuss the Supreme Court decision in Masterpiece Cakeshop. The court narrowly ruled for Colorado baker Jack Phillips, but did not decide that any business can discriminate against customers because of who they are. The group talking to reporters included former supervisor and attorney Leslie Katz, center, District 8 candidate and attorney Rafael Mandelman, left, District 8 Supervisor Jeff Sheehy, City College of San Francisco trustee Tom Temprano, BART board director Bevan Dufty, Q Foundation director Brian Basinger, and former state senator and mayoral candidate Mark Leno.
