San Francisco's last gay male strip club, the Nob Hill Theatre, will close its doors after its last show Sunday, August 19..

The theater, located at 729 Bush Street, has "some great upcoming events," co-owner Larry Hoover told the Bay Area Reporter in an email. Porn star Dante Martin and Santos will be at the theater for Up Your Alley fair weekend in late July. Patrons are invited to a DVD shoot Friday, August 17, with Mr. Pam and Naked Sword.

The theater will no longer be an adult club, according to Zephyr Realtor Steven "Stu" Gerry.

The B.A.R. reported last October that the club was put up for sale (http://www.ebar.com/news/news//250180).

For the past few years, Hoover, and his husband, Gary Luce, have owned the adult cinema and video arcade. The couple purchased it from Shan Sayles, who died in 2016. Hoover and Luce are planning to retire to Palm Springs.

Nob Hill is planning an estate and memorabilia sale over Labor Day weekend, September 1-2.

The B.A.R. will have more in Thursday's paper.
